Techcombank, one of Vietnam’s leading joint-stock commercial banks, has selected CIM solutions to personalize its EMV credit and debit cards.

Established in 1993, Techcombank is currently one of the largest joint stock banks in Vietnam, placing growth in excess of 30% for both total assets and annual turnover and with 300 branches/offices and a workforce of over 7,500 employees. Techcombank is well-placed with the most innovative business solutions to help nearly 60,000 corporate clients and more than two million retail customers.

Techcombank, for credit and debit card personalization has chosen CIM, by using CIM Pro Series card personalization system in its headquarters in Hanoy. Firstly, the bank has bought Thermal 1000 and Embosser 2000 working in line to perform, respectively, thermal printing and embossing on credit and debit cards upon new issuance. Recently, because of the change in requirements due to the EMV migration, they have now purchased Multifeeder 6000 to perform chip EMV personalization.

Once more the modularity of CIM Pro Series system has proven to be a winning solution,  a simple upgrade allowed Techcombank to reach its new goals in a very short time. If they had not have chosen a modular solution, they would have had to change the entire personalization system, with consequent additional costs in terms of time and money.

CIM Pro Series is one of the most flexible systems on the market, it is in fact possible to start buying a single station that works stand-alone and with later upgrades to build a complete system, able to perform all personalization phases, including affix the card on the carrier, fold and envelope it, ready to be posted to the card holder.
