Bologna, Italy, April 2, 2012 – CIM announced the introduction of a new advanced card printer & encoding solution for organizations that require high quality personalized cards. 

The new SUNLIGHT LUX is ideal for small and medium sized production batch and for businesses looking for a  card printing and encoding system that offers high performance, is professional and secure, and at the same time still user-friendly. The new printer performs  high resolution edge-to-edge printing of text, images, photos, graphics and bar codes in full-color, with available options for secure smart card and magnetic stripe encoding.

The SUNLIGHT LUX is available in two different versions. Single sided printing gives you the ability to print cards one side at a time, ideal for low volume production needs.  For larger volume requirements, the optional dual-sided printing module provides front and back printing, all in one pass. Both solutions have been designed thinking of the ease of use. Plug-and-play system is an intuitive user friendly system, aimed at making setup, loading and operation extremely simple for the operator.

The SUNLIGHT LUX can work stand-alone, connected to a single PC through a USB connection, or in-line thanks to the Ethernet connection that allows for remote sharing by many users. Furthermore the included software Rainbow for card management, enables users to start printing cards immediately, with no additional software licensing costs.

The new printer has also been designed with the environment in mind, in fact the LUX displays the Energy Stars for efficient energy consumption.

The wide range of upgradeable modules protects customers against future corporate changes in requirements. The SUNLIGHT LUX can support any additional features such as an Ethernet connection, personalization of a magnetic stripe, proximity, contact and/or contactless technology cards and also a flip-over module to upgrade from single-sided to dual-sided printers.

The SUNLIGHT LUX also has a more modern, compact, sleek design, allowing for ease of accommodation with any desktop configuration. The printer is good for organizations such as financial services, firms, governments, retailers and small or medium-sized businesses.
