30 May 2011 (Bologna, Italy) –  CIM, a leading-edge card personalization machines manufacturer and  Bell ID, a leading smart token management solution provider, today announced a global partnership to realise extensive end-to-end solutions for the in-branch and mass personalisation of EMV smart cards.

CIM provides versatile central as well as in-branch issuance desktop machines, designed  to work 24/7 and have an all-in-one combination of personalisation technologies including thermal printing, embossing, front and rear indent, contact and contactless chip encoding; all in a single pass through the machine. All machines can be interconnected to meet any production process configuration by the operator, providing flexible redundancy and ease of use. Bell ID’s EMV Token Manager software realises a secure connection between hardware provided by CIM and the centralised, back-offices card applications. The joint-offering provides financial institutions with robust and proven central and in-branch issuance capabilities for all major card schemes, for both contact as well as contactless smart cards.

The combination of both software and hardware packages with the extensive partner network of both companies, also guarantee rapid localised implementations and excellent local support services.
